The #1 top-rated horror novel on  The Apocalypse Survivors!
This is not an uplifting tale of heroes and heroines. Get that out of your head now. It's a tale of survival. It's a tale of dried blood beneath your nails, of new pain, of gnawing hunger and unrelenting loneliness, of fear and hatred, and yes, of courage.
In The Apocalypse, the great majority of the men and women who fought with honor, with a sense of duty and loyalty, gave their lives for others, leaving those without honor to flourish and rule. Their rule is not marked by decency or civility, but by wicked brutality.

Yet, in some very rare cases, the kind and the noble survived. These hardened
survivors learned to live among the undead, but now they must learn how to stay
alive among creatures that are far more monstrous their fellow man.

The Apocalypse Survivors The Undead World Novel 2 The Undead World Series eBook Peter Meredith

I hardly ever leave feedback on the Kindle Books, however I just finished the Undead World Series (1-7) in 30 days! Peter Meredith does an amazing job telling the story of the infection and leaves you on the edge of your seat time and time again.

After finishing with The Remaining by DJ Molles, I was certain I wouldn't find a better book about the Apocalypse. Well, after a few crappy purchases I deiceded to give this series a try - if you like deep character development, action packed story, this is for you. The violence was a bit harsh and graphic at times, but it fits within the context of the story.

I found myself watching less Movies and when I had free time and was home form work, I was reading more than anything else. That's how good this series is. I fell in love with some of the characters and I think Jillybean is by far the most amazing character ever created in a book.

Along with her, Grey, Neil, Saddie and a few others were the only force of good in a world gone mad. You will come to feel like these are part of your family.

Again, I am not much of a feedback writer, but I am taking the time to tell you this was an AMAZING series and worth every penny. Thank you Peter!

The Apocalypse Survivors The Undead World Novel 2 The Undead World Series eBook Peter Meredith Reviews

Both books so far are great additions to the flooded "zombie apocalypse" genre. I'd recommend them to any zombie fan.

On a basic level, we've seen this before virus turns everyone into zombies, and isolated pockets of survivors try to avoid being eaten. But there are a few things here that make "The Apocalypse" series different

- A wide range of characters (men, women, teens, children) who cope with things very differently.
- Most of the survivors are not Special Ops. guys, or even military. They are relatively average and very scared people who often have to fumble and flail, barely escaping with their lives.
- No one is safe. Meredith has no qualms about suddenly killing off even well-established characters.
- The dark side of humanity is really on display here. Most apocalyptic fiction covers the dangers posed by other survivors. After all, when civilization collapses, rules go out the window. But Meredith takes this further than usual. There's cruelty, lies, sadism, women quickly (but not happily) trading their bodies for protection, racial groups forming (with all the unfortunate intolerance one might expect), and so on.

Basically if you think "The Walking Dead" is dark and gritty, this matches and often passes it.
Book 2 is every bit as good as book 1. Probably better. There is some real true world building going on and I am looking forward to seeing what happens to everyone in the rest of the series. Not knowing much about the author, I'm surprised that that then author's note at the end of this book indicates he is an independent. With all of the sub par work getting big bucks and the popularity of this particular genre right now, I cannot see why a publisher has not bought these.
The 1st book in this series was really a good read. The second book was even better. These books are brutal in content , nothing feel good about them so as long as you are ok with that they are definate page turners. The character development is excellent, you grow to either love or despise then. I partcularly love Ram and Jillybean. Sadie and Neil are a mismatched pair but the fatner daughter bond is strong.
If you like the Living Dead you will love these books. Try not to get attached to any one character though the world they live inwill never give them a break or a place of safety.
I have to say, one of the best characters I have ever read, for the complexity, and the thoughts, was Jillybean. I love, love, love, her character. Diving into her thoughts and who she is, and where she came from was done masterfully.

This book was fantastic. There was suspense, fighting, love, caring, sacrifice, heroics, and so much more. I loved this book.
The apocalypse struck and Peter Meredith does a good job describing the in’s and out of those responsible and those who survive and how.

The groups of people in the books I’ve read were well defined and the reader becomes invested in their choices. Sometimes, I even thought I understand that decision, but I know this will end badly…doing the right thing doesn’t always mean you survive.

One of the character being followed is Steve. He is the person least likely to survive…an wall street investment banker. He not only survives, but ends up flourishing in the new normal. He is terrified, but still does what needs to be done to protect the ones he loves.

Another person who does a metamorphosis is Ram, a DEA agent. He is chasing the terrorists who released the horror of the walking dead. As the world crumbles, he suffers PTSD and becomes a voyeur in the world of which he resides. That is until he meets a small child, Jillybean. She is a true apocalypse survivor. She gets advice from a stuffed animal and between the two of them they hide for months and survive.

To enjoy this series, start with the first book and read all three. It gets a little gritty at times but if this is your genre, this series is a must. Meredith uses the written word in a way that leaves the reader with a clear vision of the new world, to enjoy or cringe over.
An outstanding character driven story. Each character is well-fleshed out, not the usual cardboard cut-out that are overused in Zombie shoot’em ups. What was especially refreshing was that the characters were Joe Anybodies, not Rambo-type commandos. My favorites were Jillybean, a six-year old orphan followed by Neil, a white collar Wall Street type.

There are plenty of twists in the plot to keep you turning the pages. There is no happy ending, but the ending is logical and did satisfy this reader. While this book is second in the series, the story is strong enough to stand on its own.
